We are in the business of sustainability ♻️ always pushing the envelope with our recycling tactics. Here is a little something we have been working on at the lab.
HEMPCRETE: A Natural Building Material
Hempcrete is a bio-composite material made from a mixture of h**p hurds (the woody core of the h**p plant) and a lime-based binder. It's used as a construction and insulation material.
Key characteristics of h**pcrete:
* Sustainable: Made from a renewable resource and has a low carbon footprint.
* Insulating: Provides excellent thermal insulation, helping to regulate temperature.
* Breathable: Allows moisture to pass through, preventing mold and dampness.
* Lightweight: Significantly lighter than traditional concrete.
* Fire-resistant: Has good fire resistance properties.
Essentially, h**pcrete is a natural alternative to traditional building materials like concrete, offering a combination of sustainability, energy efficiency, and comfort.
