We have positions open for Equipment Operators.
Equipment Operators are tasked with safe operation of large commercial trucks, as well as setting utility poles. Most frequent equipment operated will be derrick trucks, as well as large bucket trucks. Equipment Operators also mount outdoor warning siren equipment to utility poles and ensure the equipment is securely fastened.
Utility poles vary in length from 50 to 65 feet and require special handling measures.
Equipment Operators must possess a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License, and possess a clean driving record.
Equipment Operators must be able to travel for extended periods of time - 4 to 5 days per week (occasionally longer) with paid lodging and meals. Equipment Operators can expect to work 40 hours or more per week.
Equipment Operators are required to lift 24 to 60 pounds frequently throughout a work day. Equipment Operators are also require to possess basic knowledge of power tools.
Equipment Operators must be willing to work at heights exceeding 40 feet from a company provided lift truck, and shorter heights from a ladder if necessary.
Equipment Operators must take and OSHA-10 Safety Class, as well as pass random issue drug and alcohol screenings.
Pay for this position is determined by experience, qualifications, and abilities.
