I don't know what got me so excited about this set up. The couch, the lights, the amazing lighting, the beautiful dress or the gorgeous bride. I think it's all combined. But Ashlin was looking flawless on her wedding day and I couldn't wait to share some shots of her.

I'm just going to be real honest for a moment.
It's been almost TWO YEARS since I've made a post on my page. I have people ask me all the time, "Are you still taking pictures?"

The answer is, "Yes!"

After I had my daughter in the summer of 2017, I stayed busy with photography. But once I began teaching again, it was nearly impossible for me to balance so many hats and still give my family the time and attention they needed. I didn't "quit". I just simply "stepped back" for the sake of my family.
I've still met with MANY wonderful people over the last few years and helped them record a time in their lives to keep forever.
I've been wanting to make this post for...well...two years. But I just never found the time and it never was the "right" time.
But the time is right and I'm thankful and blessed to say publicly that "yes, I'm still doing pictures."
Thank you to my amazing clients who continued to reach out for photos when I wasn't constantly posting and publishing my work. You all mean the world to me.
I'm not sure I will ever be to the level I once was of scheduling clients. I now have a family and a full-time job. But I can never just set my camera down and walk away.
With that being said, I have decided that I am no longer offering studio photography. It will all be natural light (outdoor) with a portable flash (for lifestyle photos in your home.) I'm sorry if that inconveniences anyone but it's what works for me.
But on the plus side, I'm letting everyone know, I'M HERE. I haven't gone anywhere. Nor will I. Even if my page is silent for a while. That just means I'm spending time with my biggest priorities: my favorite two people in the world.
The people who support my photography work mean so much to me. So here's to a "rebirth" if you will, to my page. Be prepared, I may start from two years ago and work my way up!

Saturday, October 17th is where my studio is located near Sulphur Well.
Saturday, November 3rd is near Summer Shade on my family's farm.
Both locations offer basic fall colors and surroundings as well as a barn with a country/farm look.

I'm looking at fall and considering setting up a couple dates to do some Fall Minis. One day in Sulphur Well and one around Tompkinsville if there's enough interest. Something like 30 minutes with 15-20 photos, print release and a la carte prints and canvases. Let me know what you think!

The Johnsons

I loved how simple and elegant this wedding was. It was perfect for these two and I'm so glad I got to share in their beautiful day. The last photo is a recreation of Ryan's parents' wedding photo. I think it turned out beautifully!

Eliza | 6 Months

If I could dream up my perfect session, it'd be this: A field of flowers on a farm with a dog and some cows, a barn, sweet rolls on a baby and Mommy and Daddy loving on those sweet cheeks. I have loved getting to watch Eliza grow!

LOTS of new and exciting things coming to Kayla Jo Eaton Photography this summer! I'm working on new ventures and need my clients' input so I will be posting questions and polls here and there to see what you're wanting from me!

First up: I'm looking into possibly offering ACTION SPORTS SHOTS for 2019 seniors. Football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, track, cross country, dance, cheer leading, archery, any sport or activity you participate in! I'm not sure how I'm going to offer this yet (individual, included with your senior session or at a senior group rate - all seniors from the team can split the sitting fee). So basically I'm checking interest. If you are a 2019 senior or parent of a 2019 senior or you have a child playing sports and you'd like some action shots please like, share, or comment on this post to let me know this is something you'd be interested in! -- This would be offered to all seniors in Metcalfe and surrounding counties (Metcalfe, Monroe, Barren, Glasgow, Hart, etc)

Kada \\ 3 Months Old

Granna, Mommy and Kada came to see me on a really rainy day. Kada was the most well-mannered baby during her session. When she got tired she took a nap during pictures and woke up about 10 minutes later with a smile. I adore these three-generation photos of some of my favorite people!
