When we thought we would be wrapping up our Official Last Wedding as IL Wedding Photographers we didn't realize Covid would have other plans. It all worked out for the best though because we had an EPIC last blast last Saturday with Brianna and Nick, two of the most beautiful and caring individuals you'll ever meet. Greetings friends! We just wanted to give an update to all. For those that didn’t know, The Keys Photography and Film retired in 2019 and moved out to Virginia to start our new adventure!

We are keeping our page and website so that couples and friends with photo blogs can still look back on their memories. Someday out here on the east coast we might do weddings and photography again but until then...

It's Giving Tuesday and this coming Saturday we are going to be taking donations (small or large) for the LOCAL Habitat for Humanity efforts in Effingham County. If you can't make our celebration you can provide donations to me or my dad Robert West who has worked with the organization and we will ensure they get into the Habitat Donation Box! We've had an amazing ride providing photography to this area and we can't wait to celebrate with clients and friends!

One more weekend to find your prom gear! Not only are we retiring from wedding photography but we will be moving to Virginia! Well guys, the day is here. The house is on the market and Doug and I are planning our next adventure to move to northern Virginia. We don’t have a move date yet, we’ll be around for a while so don’t worry you can’t get rid of us that quick. Putting this beautiful custom home on the market was really hard but we know we’ll find another porch of dreams in VA. Please share our home so that someone can find as much joy and happiness in this house as we have.

This ten year old house comes with:
- a porch of dreams
- 5 bedrooms
- a finished basement
- full landscaping
- appliances
- a whole lot of character

We hope it makes sense now why we retired from wedding photography 😉 never the end but always the beginning!

That moment when your childhood neighbor marries this super cool chick in St. Louis and you get to be there to document it ;-) Congrats Nicole and Rob!

When I was around 4 years old, my mother moved us into a new house in a new neighborhood shortly after my father passed. Being only 4, I don't remember much about that time but about the time I turned 7-8 years old, I remember the neighborhood being FULL of kids my own age and having a blast finally...

Winding down our season has brought beautiful weather and amazing couples and such was the case last weekend when we celebrated the wedding of Erin and Tim.
