We utilize these hemorrhage control trainers in all of our classes. Some of the best trainers we found for training multiple wounds. We have used these as dry and wet trainers for the last 2 years and have had no problems with them…

And no, we are not paid to say these things… the trainers work and we don’t like people spending money on products that don’t live up to their stated use! That’s why we will endorse certain products!

Clear compact tabletop hemorrhage control training devices with specialized wound patterns that promote tactile muscle memory learning to stop the bleed.

This study mirrors our experience in 2018 that the STAT “device” is only a venous constricting band and not an arterial tourniquet. Repost from - Really bad news for the tourniquet. But, not at all surprising. If you are carrying one of these in the hopes that a zip tie will somehow save your life, throw it away and buy a tourniquet that actually works.
From the American Journal of Emergency Medicine:

“In this pilot study, CAT application provided significantly higher arterial occlusion pressure on simulated extremity hemorrhage, with all other manikin data favored the CAT with varying significance. All volunteer feedback favored the CAT. Suboptimal tourniquet pressure impedes efficacy by halting venous return despite ongoing arterial flow, exacerbating hemorrhage with hypovolemic shock, compartment syndrome, and death [10]. The lower occlusion pressure of the STAT was similar to that previously found with the CAT before windlass engagement [11].”

Today we honor the courage of the 160,000 Allied troops who invaded Normandy on June 6, 1944. The world depended on their success, the risk was immense and with great risk came great sacrifice. The actions of these soldiers ultimately led to the end of the N**i regime and the end of WWII. We are forever indebted to their heroism and we will never forget those who lost their lives. 76 years later, we remember.
