Today, we mark the passing of the humble penny, a small copper icon that has served generations for more than 232 years. Born in 1793, the penny has been a silent witness to the growth of a nation, quietly circulating through millions of hands, pockets, jars, and wishing fountains. It has carried grocery lists, good luck, first jobs' paychecks, and countless “find a penny, pick it up” moments. Though often taken for granted, the penny has remained a constant presence in everyday life, reminding us that even the smallest things have value. As it retires from circulation in 2025, we pay tribute to its legacy of luck, thrift, and nostalgia. May it forever hold a place in our change jars, memories, and childhood piggy banks. R.I.P. Penny. American Recycling located in El Cajon is hiring one outside yard worker. Job title will include but will not be limited to cleaning parking lot area and all working areas, helping customers, lifting and dumping CRV material, learning and being able to recognize CRV material, sorting CRV material, must be able to operate forklift; and have a forklift license, baling of purchased material and be able to complete work load by end of day with help from fellow co-workers.

Requirements for yard workers:
Forklift experience is a plus
Be able to stand, bend, lift without stress or injury.
Be able to work a labor position
Work well with co-workers and have great customer

Estamos abiertos 5 días a la semana de 8:00-3:00 y 8:00-5:00. Buscamos agente que puedas trabajar full time. Y buscamos trabajadores que puedan trabajar con otros trabajadores y que lleguen a tiempo. Y que quieran aprender a manejar el levanta carga.Trabajamos con varias gente y buscamos a alguien qué puedo trabajar debajo duro. Se requiere levantando de 5 a 60 libras de peso con ayuda de un trabajador y poder operar máquinas de recicladoras como Balers.
Aquí en American Recycling LLC El Cajon entrenamos a nuestros empleados y damos entrevistas con trabajo. Cada empleado recibe un cheque cada viernes y siempre hay horas extra que uno puede meter.
