As a kid growing up in the 80’s, I was obsessed with music! I purchased many cassette tapes and, miraculously, many of them made it through faulty tape players and hot cars!

However, if you’re STILL hanging on to these I’m going to guess that….

1. You don’t own a cassette tape player
2. You’re having a difficult time letting these go because of nostalgic reasons
3. They’re taking up valuable space and creating clutter
4. Its time for your colonoscopy

I’m guilty of all four reasons! But, help is on the way!
Did you know that cassette tapes are in hot demand right now?! Yep. Generation Z is alllll about tangible nostalgia and want your old tapes & CD’s!

I recently sold my entire tape collection to the BOOKOFF San Diego in Kearny Mesa and earned $86 in cash. Declutter AND earn money. Win-win situation!

One of my favorite parts of launching The Sustainable Sort is the moment when decluttering turns into purpose.

With one of our latest garage reset projects, we were able to clear space and give back to the community in a meaningful way.

I’m so excited to share our TSS “by the numbers” from this project. It feels incredible to help families reset their spaces while supporting others in the process.

‘Tis the season for giving…and that’s exactly what drives the mission of The Sustainable Sort — turning clutter into purpose EVERY DAY. ♻️✨

With our latest project in Scripps Ranch, we partnered with a wonderful family to sort through their family room and repurpose what no longer served them. Together, we were able to give back to the Scripps Ranch community by donating, recycling, and repurposing items in immeasurable ways.

I’m excited to share The Sustainable Sort — By the Numbers so you can see the real impact this project made.

It’s not easy to let a stranger into your home — especially to help declutter. It’s deeply personal. But sometimes, having someone with no emotional attachment to your things can bring the clarity you need to prioritize what truly matters.

This amazing family of five in Scripps Ranch needed a fresh start. With both parents working full-time as software engineers and three busy daughters in 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grade, the clutter had simply taken over.

I focused on transforming their family room — the heart of their home where creativity, play, and homework all collide. While there’s still more to do, we made incredible progress, and this space now feels lighter, calmer, and more functional for everyone!

Thank you for welcoming me into your social media feed — and hopefully, into your home.

As someone in the sandwich generation, caught between caring for aging parents and raising a family, I’ve seen firsthand how both stages of life can create chaos. And by chaos, I mean clutter — the kind that quietly takes over our space, our peace, and sometimes, our sense of calm.

I launched The Sustainable Sort to help busy families and seniors get organized, reclaim serenity, and turn their homes back into sanctuaries. My mission isn’t about perfection — it’s about purpose. I help you make room for the things that truly matter, while responsibly repurposing what no longer serves you to benefit others in our community.
