The El Centro Firefighters Association (Local 3788) represents the more than 30 full-time professional firefighters and paramedics who protect the residents and visitors of our hometown.

Three of our firefighters👨‍🚒 have been deployed for 9 days already on a strike team assisting with wildfire operations.🔥

They were initially assigned to the GANN Fire 🔥 in Calaveras County, working 12-hour shifts following dozers and monitoring for any new fire activity.

They were then reassigned to the TIMBER Fire 🔥 , where they’ve been working 24-hour shifts on progressive hose lays and mop-up along the fire’s edge.🚒

We’re proud of their hard work and dedication while serving alongside crews from across the state. Stay safe out there! 🤙🏽🔥

We would like to congratulate two of our firefighters who recently competed at the United States Police & Fire Championships (USPFC)

🥇 The USPFC is an Olympic-style competition that brings together athletes from law enforcement and fire service agencies.

We are proud to see our firefighters represent both our department and their respective gyms with dedication, discipline, and excellence both on and off duty.👏

We would like to welcome and introduce four new firefighters to the El Centro Fire Department🚒🔥
👨‍🚒Max Ongay, Leonardo Zamora, Isaac Estrada, Draven Yarnell.👨‍🚒 Our new firefighters will begin a six week academy where they will train in all aspects of the profession, including physical fitness💪🏽, manipulative skills🧯 and tool knowledge⚒️.
The academy will prepare them for their one-year probationary period and help build the foundation for a successful career in the El Centro fire department 🚒

Hard work and team work are essential to be successful.🔥
