Why does the last day of school always end at 11:45…and why did that used to feel so stressful?

Today, I am taking her out to lunch to celebrate - but what’s different is how it feels.

There was a time I would’ve been scrambling, trying to figure out how to leave work and still keep everything together.

Now, I get to pick her up calmly, no stress, no rushing - just being present.

This is freedom - it’s in the small ones we no longer have to miss.

These “little things” are actually everything.

Yes… we are grateful. 🙏

Grateful that one income has carried us—especially in times like these.
But the truth? One of us is still not fully home.

Thirty years ago, the dream was simple…Work hard, build a life, and one day slow down together—side by side, in the years that were supposed to be ours.

But somewhere along the way… life shifted.
And those “someday” years quietly turned into more years working.

We did everything right. We built the safety net. We followed the plan.

And still… it doesn’t feel like enough.

Because my biggest WHY isn’t about more things…It’s about more time.

Time for my husband to finally exhale. Time for us to wake up without a schedule pulling him away. Time to just… be.

Instead, I started asking -

“What kind of life do I want to wake up to?”

Definitely not a rushed one…
And not asking for permission to live.

That question led me to something different…
…something that finally fits my life.

I am eternally grateful to my online business for giving me a new direction.

It was just a pup cup…

But the way he enjoyed it - like nothing else in the world existed -

It made me pause -

No worries
No pressure
No rushing to the next thing.

Just him and his pup cup.

It made me realize how often we miss the life that’s right in front of us.

Life isn’t later.
It’s right here in the small moments.
