Gorman Moisture Protection, Inc. is seeking experienced Waterproofing Estimators to join our growing team. We are a leading company in waterproofing in the Texas and New Mexico area. We specialize in architectural terra cotta, stone masonry, concrete repairs, joint sealants, expansion joints, waterproofing, elastomeric coatings, penetrating sealants, and firestopping.

As a Waterproofing Estimator at Gorman Moisture Protection, Inc., you will be responsible for estimating costs and preparing bids for waterproofing projects. You will work closely with project managers and clients to accurately assess project requirements and provide competitive bids.

Responsibilities:

*Review construction drawings and specifications to determine our scope of work
*Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate bidding
*Collaborate with project managers to develop cost estimates
*Prepare detailed proposals, including labor costs, material expenses, and timelines, and execute presentations and proposals to existing or new clients
*Communicate with potential clients regarding bid details and address any questions or concerns they may have
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and pricing changes
*Minimizes exposure and risk by implementing quality assurance controls in the estimating process. Promptly report changes and issues in scope and revenue to senior management
*Identify and execute strategic opportunities within the proposal to optimize Gorman Moisture Protection, Inc.’s position in securing the work

Requirements:

*Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating or related field (waterproofing experience preferred)
*Strong understanding of construction processes and materials required for waterproofing projects
*Excellent mathematical skills with attention to detail
*Ability to read, understand, and follow required construction documents.
*Proficient in construction estimating software (BlueBeam, eTakeoff, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project)
*Outstanding communication abilities, both in writing and speaking, alongside robust numerical and analytical skills
*Strong leadership attributes
*Excellent organizational skills
*Skilled in building and sustaining productive relationships with clients, colleagues, and suppliers
*Knowledge of cost management techniques, as well as principles related to finance and project oversight
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills

About the Role

As a Commercial Waterproofing Project Manager, you’ll oversee projects from pre-construction through completion. You’ll be trusted to manage schedules, crews, materials, and client communication while keeping jobs safe, organized, and profitable. This role is hands-on, collaborative, and essential to keeping our projects running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from start to finish
• Coordinate field crews, materials, and equipment
• Work closely with general contractors, superintendents, and inspectors
• Review plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate scope
• Track budgets, labor hours, and job costs
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor quality, safety, and progress
• Handle change orders, problem-solving, and schedule adjustments
• Maintain clear documentation, schedules, and project reports
Qualifications
• 2+ years of project management experience in commercial construction or waterproofing
• Working knowledge of commercial waterproofing systems (below-grade, blindside, deck coatings, sheet and fluid-applied membranes, sealants)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple commercial projects at once
• Comfortable reading construction drawings and specifications
• Clear communicator who works well with crews and clients
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Nice to Have
• Commercial waterproofing or restoration background
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
