Candidates will learn to set up and maintain traffic control for a variety of day and night time temporary and long-term projects on city, county, and state right of ways. Projects include but are not limited to - flagging operations, lane closures, road closures, and freeway closures. Candidates: Must speak, read, and write in english. Will be expected (after required experience), to take ATSSA 4 hr Flagger Certification Course, and Traffic Control Technician course. Other certifications and trainings may be offered / required. Must be able to lift 65 lbs, and lift 30 lbs repeatedly throughout the work day. WIll be required to go through 2 - 3 day orientation prior to being assigned a trainer.
