After a great deal of thought and discussion, Bob and I have made the decision to "retire" Circle B Winery!

It has been quite a journey!

In 2013, our good friend and fellow winemaker came up with the idea of growing grapes on our farm. Augie had been making wine as a hobby for a few years and thought it would be a fun way for us to spend time together creating wine.

From there we started cultivating a vineyard, deciding on the grape varieties to grow. But flavoring white Cayuga grapes to make different varieties of fruit wines was not to my liking. So after research and testing, the three of us started using only the fruit to make a few varieties. We started with Cayuga, Concord, Pear and Apple. From there it seemed like every year we were adding more varieties and at the peak of our business we had created 23 wines. Most were pure fruit wines with low residual sugar (semi sweet). But we did produce several unique wines like Spiced Apple, Pumpkin and Spice, Caramel Apple and the surprisingly best seller Tomato!

We went to several events and gatherings to have family and friends taste test our wines with resounding success. We received a few ribbons and rewards for our Apricot and Honey, Spiced Apple and Diamond. From there we built a winery, wine shop and increased the size of our vineyard and orchards. Our "girls", Elyssa and Ashley joined the fun! Elyssa became and expert on bottling and Ashley was my expert wine steward, pouring and selling wines at all our events.

Our little farm winery has been a highlight of Bob's and my retirement. We worked hard, Bob tending the vineyards, maintaining the winery and harvesting. We came together harvesting fruit/grapes in barrels each fall and bottling and producing the wines each spring. I worked to run our wine shop, schedule events, advertise and market our product. Along the way we met alot of customers and made many wonderful friends. For that we are grateful!

Rather than sell Circle B Winery, we have decided to retire the brand. We will be selling the remainder of our inventory and auctioning off equipment. We have been selling fruit/grapes at our stand in front and will continue to do so. We will offer Pick-Your-Own next year.

We would like to thank our retail supporters; Sandy and Jeremy at Sweet Life Country Store, Amanda at Navarra's Farm Market and Greenhouses and The Genesee County Fair Batavia, NY for all of their generous support of our small business.

And of course we want to thank all of our loyal customers and followers for their support and patronage to us and our small business. We are truly grateful for all of you!
