Weekend project over in Spanish Cove in Lillian, AL 🇺🇸

Trimmed back a couple magnolia trees and got everything cleaned up over the property line just like the customer wanted.

Simple, clean, and looks a whole lot better now. 🌳✂️

Just wrapped up a big job down in Elberta and had to share a closer look at what we ran into out there 👇

We took down 80+ trees on this property — and this one had a little bit of everything. You’ll see in the video and pictures:
• Hollow trees that looked solid from the outside
• Termites deep in the core of multiple trees
• Damage from a mulcher
• Dead and unsafe trees throughout the property

Out of those, 39 trees were close to structures — many of them leaning right over roofs and buildings. Some of these required felling against the lean or even sideways to the lean, which takes careful planning and control to get them down safely.

This is exactly why it’s important to have questionable trees checked before they become a bigger problem. A lot of these didn’t show obvious signs until we got into them.

We had a great time getting this one done, and we really appreciate the opportunity to make the property safe and enjoyable for years to come.

Before ➡️ After | Live Oak Pruning – Glen Lakes Subdivision 🌳
I had the chance to get to work alongside my younger brother Randall on this live oak pruning job in a Glen Lakes backyard. The homeowner wanted better clearance and a healthier tree that could still provide great shade.
We raised the canopy, opened it up for improved airflow and sunlight, removed deadwood, and took care of limbs that were making contact. Clearing the golf cart trail in the process.
Now the homeowner has a beautiful, balanced shade tree to sit under and enjoy while taking in this amazing view.

Check out this live oak prune in Foley! Opened up the canopy, redirected limbs, and gave this backyard tree a clean, healthy shape. Another satisfied customer! 🌳💪

🌲⚡ Another Dead Pine Down – No Room for Error ⚡🌲

This was the second dead pine from the same job as last weekend’s 95ft removal — an 85ft pine, lightning struck, pine weevil + termite–infested, and rotted from years of decay. It had a heavy lean with only a 6’x8’ drop zone, about 15 feet away from the base.

To make things interesting, I had:
🏠 A neighbor’s shed directly under the tree’s cap
🚧 A privacy fence 5 feet north of the stump
⛓️ A chain-link fence 10 feet east
🌸 And a beautiful Japanese plum tree just 3 feet south of the drop zone

Using an 86ft lift, I carefully pieced the entire tree down by hand, rigging every section for a safe landing. One wrong move could’ve meant serious damage — but it came down clean and damage-free.

Jobs like this are a reminder that skill, patience, and planning make all the difference. 💪

🌲💪 Weekend Project Spotlight 🌲💪

This weekend I tackled a 95ft dead pine that had been struck by lightning and infested with pine weevils. It was leaning over a fence, right beside a house, and only a few feet from a stone retaining wall. The tree had a 10’x12’ drop zone—not much room for error!

Using a lift, I carefully pieced the entire tree down by hand, rigging and tossing every section into the drop zone. One wrong move and the privacy fence or retaining wall would have been crushed. It took skill, patience, and teamwork, but we got it down safely.

This was just one of four trees on this project.
