The Winter Wonderland Train is getting transformed into the ultimate dance party for one night only on Wednesday, January 28, from 5pm - 6:30pm. ✨

Put on your best bell bottoms, wear your fanciest fur coat, and groove on down to Newtown Road Station! Enjoy an on-train soul music livestream with DJ Bee/Fresh Radio at Tracks on Tracks: A Soul Groove Social & Rhythm Revival. 💃🚆🕺

The train leaves from Newtown Road Station promptly at 5:20pm. Space is limited, so get there early! If you're closer to one of our other stations, just follow our regular light rail schedule for the 5:20pm departure from Newtown to see when you can hop on. ✨

Tickets are $4.50 for one round trip and will be available day-of at any of our light rail stations. 🎫

🚧 PERMANENT SPEED LIMIT IMPLEMENTED ON ROUTE 58 (HOLLAND ROAD) 🚧

The City of Suffolk Department of Public Works advises that the posted speed limit on Holland Road (Route 58) will increase from 35 MPH to 45 MPH beginning January 16, 2026. This change reflects the roadway’s permanent speed limit as the Capital Improvement Project (CIP) along the corridor nears completion.

The speed limit was temporarily reduced during construction to help keep motorists, construction crews, and nearby residents safe. With major improvements now complete and the roadway fully operational, the speed limit is being restored to match the corridor’s updated design and intended use.

Even with the speed limit increasing, safety remains our top priority. Please stay alert, follow posted signs, and drive responsibly as everyone adjusts to the updated speed limit.
