Congratulations, Ammon Fire Department

Our very own Brian Cox had the honor of presenting Ammon Fire Department with their new fire protection rating on Saturday, September 26! Previously classified as a Class 9 department, Ammon Fire Department has worked hard to achieve an improved Class 6/9 rating, which will officially take effect on December 1, 2026.

This achievement reflects the department’s continued commitment to strengthening its operations, improving fire protection services, and keeping the community safe. We are proud to recognize their hard work and dedication!

Congratulations to the entire Ammon Fire Department on this well-deserved accomplishment!

Last night we had the opportunity to come together and celebrate a milestone for our fire department. Since being established in 1982 (44 years ago) we have always been at a class 9 insurance rating. This year that changes! Our Christmas present to the community we serve will be lower insurance premiums as we now have an ISO class 6 insurance rating which will go into effect 12/1/2026. To all our residents make sure you call your insurance companies after December 1st to get your new insurance premium. This would not have been possible without our dedicated members putting in the time and effort to train and answer calls; so if you see any of these guys out and about, be sure to thank them, because without them we are nothing! We would also like to thank the Board of Directors, the Commissioners, all of our mutual aid departments and the community for their support as well as any other department that has helped us along the way. If you have any questions feel free to ask. If you would like to join stop by Tuesday nights @ 7 p.m. Again a huge THANK YOU to our members for what they do!

*SMOKE ADVISORY*
Please be aware that there could be some smoke overlay in the area for the next few days/weeks. There is a 600+ acre woods fire in Rosehill and depending on wind our area could see smokey conditions. Please keep this in mind when calling 911. As always if you feel unsafe or unsure please dont hesitate to call 911. Thanks!

Please keep our brothers and sisters in your prayers as well as the family of Deputy Chief David Price.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our Deputy Chief David Price has gained ultimate healing following a long hard fought battle with illness. David proudly served our community and department for many years and words can not express how much we will miss him. Please pray for Melvia and Chris and all his wonderful family and surround them with love and support in the days ahead.
