A couple of things have been posted to Columbus Man about the cat problem in Elizabethtown, of course it was sent in anonymously.
I am going to post the June 2026 minutes below and at the bottom of page 2 it will show the letter that was read and the issue addressed that the ordinance the council has does include fining owners when their cats and kittens leave their property.
I also have included messages sent to me about one area, then a text about someone else catching 3.
I have my message in there where in June I rehomed 5. Since then I have rehomed 3 more which makes a total of 8...
In July I did speak to Rick before the meeting about wanting to see if town would purchase some traps but I forgot to bring it up 😞
In May, there is a note about cats on my clerk treaurer notes but I didn't type anything in the actual minutes...
So, please if you know of a different way that Elizabethtown can stop the feral cats from multiplying, drop by and share your ideas...
