More common sense from former Auburn and NBA star and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley as he chatted on set about kids:

“We have conditioned our kids that if you don’t make a lot of money- if you don’t have a big house, if you don’t have a big car, you’re not successful.
"Well, not everybody’s going to make a lot of money. You can be a trash man and be a wonderful person. I admire teachers- they are the hardest-working people in the world- now THEY are successful.

"We have built this thing on our country- like when you go speak to kids, the first thing they ask you is what kind of car you drive- I say, no, that’s not success.
"I wish everybody could make a lot of money, I wish everybody could have a big house and all that other [stuff] that goes with it, but hey man, just be a good person.
"If you are a teacher be the best teacher you can be, and if you are a trash man be the best trash man you can be.”

Charles Barkley can be brash, but the more I listen to him the more he makes sense.
