🚨 Think your Credit Karma score tells the whole story? Think again. When I meet with a client, my job isn’t just to glance at a number—it’s to dig deeper, ask the right questions, and make sure they’re truly ready for homeownership. Pre-approval is where the rubber meets the road.

A lot of people don’t realize that lenders look beyond the score. You need at least a 2-year work history (not necessarily the same job), stable income, and a clean credit profile. I often meet new immigrants who’ve only worked for six months—they’re not ready yet, and it’s my responsibility to be upfront about that while guiding them on the steps they can take.

That’s why I start with a soft credit pull at pre-approval. It doesn’t hurt your score, but it gives me insight into your full credit picture. Thinking owning an RV was going to be a breeze, Joseph Ladd quickly realized the road ahead was anything but smooth. With a background in building houses, he assumed he could handle any repair thrown his way—but he soon discovered RVs are a whole different world!

When he couldn’t find a reliable, honest tech to help, Joseph hit a breaking point and decided to take matters into his own hands. Countless YouTube videos later, he managed to fix every problem himself, sparking a new passion and purpose.

Determined to become a qualified expert, Joseph packed up his self-renovated (and let’s just say “creatively” fixed) 1977 Dodge Sportsman and headed to Texas to attend the National RV Training Technician Academy.
