Every time Wyoming gets hit with bad weather, we see the well-deserved appreciation posts for WYHP, plow drivers, EMTs, and other first responders. And they absolutely deserve every bit of that recognition. 🙌
But there’s one group that almost always gets left out , Tow truck operators. 🪝
Tow operators are out there in the same storms, on the same icy highways, working long hours in brutal conditions. They’re dragging heavy chains, pulling wrecked vehicles out of ditches, clearing jackknifed semis, and literally reopening the roads so traffic can move again. Without them, those highways would stay blocked and dangerous much longer.
They’re the ones cleaning up the havoc after the storm hits. ❄️
Tow truck operators are some of the most hardworking and least recognized people out there during Wyoming winters.
While we are always thankful for our first responders and road crews, it’s worth remembering the men and women in the tow trucks who help keep those roads open and safe.
Next time you see a tow operator working on the side of the road, slow down, move over, and remember they’re out there risking it too.
To all the tow operators working through the storms ,we see you, and we appreciate you!💪
