The Sellhorst legacy began in April of 2006 when Steve's father, Rich, officially started the company. Steve joined him just a few months later in August, working side-by-side to build the foundation of what we are today. Now leading the charge, Steve blends those decades of family-rooted expertise with a fresh vision for cutting-edge smart-home innovation.

What truly sets Steve apart is how he leads. For Steve, business is personal. He leads with deep empathy, always putting the well-being of our employees and the peace of mind of our customers first. To him, you aren't just a client or a staff member-you're part of the extended Sellhorst family.

When he's not busy transforming houses into smart homes, Steve is all about family. As a devoted husband and proud dad of three, he knows firsthand how important it is to have a safe, connected space to create memories.

Meet our founder, Rich Sellhorst! 👋

Rich started his career in the low-voltage industry back in 1982, officially founding SELLHORST in 2006 with a simple heartfelt mission: to keep local families safe with dependable home security.

As technology advanced, so did the SELLHORST vision - gradually expanding beyond home security to offer full-service solutions in audio/video, smart-home automation, and more.

Today, that legacy is proudly carried forward by his son Steve and the entire SELLHORST team. With family at its core and innovation as our guide, SELLHORST continues to evolve - building smart, connected homes for the future while staying true to the values that shaped our past.
