I’ve spent 34 years in the mining industry. I’ve worked at some of the biggest operations out there and at some of the smallest. But in all those years, this is the first time I’ve ever worked for a truly family-run company. No investors. No multimillion-dollar corporate backing. Just two people who believed in a vision and have spent the last 33 years pouring everything they have back into the company they built.

What still blows me away is this: when I call and ask for equipment or manpower, the answer is never hesitation. It’s always, “Yes. Tell us what you need—we’ll make it happen.” And trust me, my requests aren’t small or cheap (my wife can confirm that).

When a client asks if we have something—or even if we can get it—the answer is always yes. Not because it’s easy, but because that’s who we are. We figure it out. We get it done.
On Monday a client asked for more vac trucks on site. By Wednesday, two more were found. By Friday, they were on the property, working. Five vac trucks running because someone said yes and meant it.

We’re growing so fast it’s almost hard to keep up. We needed a fuel truck—I found one, and four days later it was sitting in our shop. Today, our new heavy-haul transport truck showed up. Watching this company move, adapt, and invest at this pace is honestly something I’ve never experienced before.

Craig and Christina—thank you. Thank you for reinvesting in this company. Thank you for trusting your people. And thank you for believing in growth not just on paper, but in real equipment, real jobs, and real families.

The orange W on my shirt isn’t just a logo or a uniform. To me, it represents stability, opportunity, and a future. It’s the future for my family, for my coworkers, and for so many of us who are proud to wear it. And we don’t take that lightly. We’re grateful—every single day.

Today we want to recognize someone who keeps everything in our company moving forward — Troy. He puts in countless hours making sure every person, every project, and every detail is handled with care. His dedication to this company, our team, and our clients does not go unnoticed.

The winter of 2026 hasn’t been great for snowpack — but it’s been nothing short of amazing for Walsh.

January at a glance:
• 10 different projects running
• 67 operators working
• 11 new hires in the last 3 weeks
• 2 new dozers
• 1 new excavator
• 4 new pickups
• 1 new transport truck
• 1 new l**e truck — all purchased this month
• Already mobilized and working on a project in Idaho

Plus the big news a leach leach pad expansion and a crusher job.

And this is before our two large projects have even fired up yet.

The momentum is real, the team is growing, and the opportunities ahead are huge.
It’s shaping up to be an amazing year — and it’s all because of the hard work and commitment from everyone involved.

Let’s keep it rolling. 💪

Lots of seat time in December means lots of time to reflect on 2025—and honestly, all I can do is smile about the year we had.

We were able to secure enough work to keep 61 operators running all year long, and in Nevada that is a huge accomplishment for our company. On top of that, we’ve already signed contracts with brand-new clients set to kick off January 12.

We also renewed three extremely large contracts for the new year and, as it stands, we already have most of our equipment spoken for well into 2026. That alone says a lot about the trust our clients place in us.

But our biggest accomplishment, in my opinion, is the team. We built a solid group early in the year and were able to keep everyone together for the entire year. Heading into 2026 with the team we have gives me a level of confidence that’s hard to put into words—I truly believe 2026 will be even more successful than 2025.

Today we were able to bring everyone together in Elko for our annual refresher. We learned, shared stories, and gave the guys a chance to finally meet coworkers they’ve only heard about, since we’re spread out across the state most of the year. Seeing that camaraderie in one place was a great reminder of why this company continues to succeed.

Proud of what we’ve built—and excited for what’s ahead.

So often we’re focused on starting jobs, finishing jobs, attending conferences, and managing the day-to-day hustle of keeping the team moving forward. We regularly showcase the incredible work our operators do—and rightfully so—but all too often we overlook the team behind the scenes making sure everything keeps running.

The countless emergency fixes that happen out in the field—usually hours away from the shop—don’t get much attention. When these guys get the call, they drop everything. Plans are canceled, dinners are missed, and late nights become the norm. They’re the ones working in freezing cold conditions or extreme heat while most of us can step into the comfort of an office or air-conditioning.

These five men go above and beyond every single day to keep more than 90 pieces of equipment up and running. Their dedication, sacrifice, and work ethic do not go unnoticed. I hope they know just how much we all truly appreciate everything they do.

I share a lot of pictures of the work our operators do out in the field — and for good reason. Their skill, professionalism, and pride show in every project, and we admire the work they put in every single day.

But behind every operator, every job, every piece of equipment in motion, there’s a team in the office that rarely gets the spotlight. They’re the ones making major decisions, paying the bills, solving problems before anyone knows they exist, and keeping 75+ operators moving in the right direction.

So today, this post is for the four ladies in the office who make all of that happen.
Your dedication, organization, patience, and commitment are a huge part of what keeps this company running. You may not always be seen, but you are always appreciated.
Trace, Jocelyn,Christina, Izzy

Thank you for everything you do.
