The Folded Memory

It hangs within the closet's shade,
A plaid of red and navy blue,
Where scent of pine and workshop stayed,
A worn-out ghost of warm and true.
Too big across the shoulders still,

How much does a t-shirt blanket cost?

$250. XL Twin- most popular, perfect for a dorm size bed or cozy tv snuggle
$320 Double
$360. Queen
$400. King

Borders: $50.-$100. depending how design details (around each shirt?) and size of blanket.

How many shirts?
20-30 shirts works the best, this really depends on the size you are looking for.

How big is it (sizing)?
Depends on the # of shirts; the most popular is an Extra Long Twin, the perfect size for a dorm room bed.

HOW MANY T-SHIRTS DO I NEED?

Lap - 16 sides of shirts
Twin - 24 sides of shirts
Full - 30 sides of shirts
Queen - 36 sides of shirts
King - 49 sides of shirts

NOTE: A side of a shirt is either the front OR the back of the shirt, and YES, you can use both sides!

How long does it take?
One month from the time your shirts are dropped off.

How does this process work?
You can drop shirts off at my house (Elko, MN), mail them, or we meet to share stories & hand off the t-shirts at a central (Caribou) location. ($20. design consult fee, due at time of meeting.)

$50 DEPOSIT required

Design
What fabrics can be used?
Anything fabric! t-shirts, sweatshirts, sports jerseys, flannel pjs, sweaters, ties, prom dresses, baby clothes, karate belts...I often joke the only thing I haven’t done are shoes!

We can discuss especially meaningful shirts so they are showcased in the design (center).
They are your memories and I want them to be displayed in the most meaningful way to you.
You can be as involved or hands off in the design process as you prefer.

I will layout design and send you pictures to proof; before sewing them together & can highlight what your different border options would look like.
I will purchase all fabric borders, and backing material.

Backing:
Most blankets are backed with fleece (you can choose any color). Other fabric options are available.

Gift options:
Often people want to offer these Memory blankets as gifts.
You can request a gift certificate for a blanket to give to the ‘gift’ recipient. And you pay when the blanket is completed, and gift certificate is redeemed.
