Nice little muddy repair job yesterday. This was a dig for the town. Homeowner had a water line leak. Town couldn't shut off the water. Once excavated the diagnosis was the rod rusted out and broke. We replaced the rod with a brand new one, while fighting a fair amount of ground water. A second shut off was installed at the Homeowners expense near his camp. This one has a drain back valve so when he leaves for the winter and shuts water off it will drain his water lines.

Nice Friday job. Drill a hole through a stacked stone foundation to allow for a new septic system install. Wall was 2 feet thick. About 4 hours of drilling. Digging the hole and setting the tank was much easier than the drilling. Cemented around the pipe and backfill. On the the next one

This week's project was back on the new home build in ausable. The garage walls were poured, so we had to get it all filled in to grade so the concrete guys can work there magic. While I was there I backfilled the outside of the garage to frost protection. The back back wall and one side wall had to come up a little over 4 feet! I will get pictures of the slopes when back to install septic.

Nice little slab prep for a double wide home. Remove topsoil, add some gravel in the bottom compact and then compacted sand on top. Trenches for utilities, and lastly dig trenches around perimeter for forms and allowing for a thickened slab for strenth and frost protection. Not bad for one day of rain this week

A little update on the house project. Floor is backfilled to grade and ready for Styrofoam and in floor heat. Outside the house the drainage system is mostly i stalled and the various pictures are different phases of backfill around the foundation. Takes a lot of time and material to build a house, even before a single board is nailed.

Sewer line replacement in the village of malone last week. Old clay sewer line with root intrusion. We replaced to the curb with new sewer pipe and installed clean out at curb incase of future problems going towards street. One photo shows the problem as viewed from the sewer camera, justifying replacement without digging to see what the problem was.
