This customer had contacted us about some pooling water next to the house, as well as needing a solution for the runoff water from the house after having a new roof installed. The solution was simple, a gutter drain that acts as a French drain. Simple but extremely effective. This customer contacted us regarding a property at the Chautauqua Institution about some foundation issues. They had a rather large water leak. Upon digging the foundation up, we found some serious issues with missing mortar and other small cracks. The blocks are not in good shape. We advised on replacing this wall, only to be replacing the entire foundation in the coming season. For now, we devised a plan to direct water into the sump pump in the basement with footer drains and a gravel bed for drainage, repair missing mortar and seal the exterior wall. This will prolong the life of the foundation along with buying time to replace the entire house foundation. We have contacted a reliable local landscaping business to come in and restore the landscape to its original condition as well.

Here are a couple driveways we have been able to complete between rain drops so far this year. We are trying to work but the rain is making it difficult. A new service that we are working diligently with getting going is going to be septic system inspections. This will include digging up and pumping of the septic tank, cleaning or replacing the outlet filter if necessary, locating and inspecting the distribution box (this distributes the liquids to the drain field and can often get loaded with sludge, causing premature failure of the drain field) and providing the customer with a health analysis of their system along with any recommended repairs.
