Happy 2025! Starting the year off with some new therapy activities! Have you seen these Created by Me sets?! I was working with a gestalt language processor (GLP) today in speech-language therapy and, ✨following his lead and honoring his interests✨, he wanted to make this in his classroom today! He loves painting and constructing so using this monster truck one was perfect!

Some things we worked on:
🚙 suggesting with “Let’s + ___”
🚙 requesting with “I want + ___”

I modeled naturalistic, declarative language based upon the context, from his perspective and from a joint child-SLP perspective.

He also loves environmental sounds (his face literally lights up) so we incorporated those!

He was so engaged as he painted and we glued! I think he absolutely loved it!
