Today, our WORD Rock Drills family came together for a little food, fellowship, and a whole lot of pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

We shared a meal, handed out goodie bags, and most importantly, took a moment to remember why we gathered. Breast cancer has touched so many of our lives, whether through family, friends, neighbors, or someone we hold dear. Today was about coming together, showing support, celebrating the survivors, and remembering those we've lost.

This WORD excavator drill is running a DF560 top hammer with a 1.5" bit on R32 rod, giving the operator the power and control to keep working through tough rock. Sometimes the job isn’t just hard to reach. Sometimes it’s sitting right in the middle of the water.

With the right carrier setup, our drills can go where the work takes you. Set up with a specialized amphibious pontoon undercarriage, this excavator gave the crew the access they needed to bring the drill out onto the water and get into position.

This is a great example that from shorelines and waterways to other hard-to-reach locations, the right combination of drill and carrier can open up a lot of possibilities. If there’s a way to get there, we’ll help you find it.

Sometimes the right drilling solution isn’t about bringing in a bigger excavator. It’s about making the most of the equipment already on site.

For this application, the Doofor Inc. DFR5 provided the capability for the customer to achieve larger hole sizes with less hydraulic flow than a larger top hammer setup may have required. While production speed may differ from a 560, it gives contractors another option when the hole needs to get bigger without changing the carrier.

That versatility matters in the field. Match the drill to the application, work within the equipment already available, and find a way to get the job done.

When the work puts you right up against an existing building with hardly an inch to spare, having the right combination of positioning, control, and drilling power makes all the difference.

In Minneapolis, these 52mm hollow bars are being installed by Helico for a new foundation beside an existing structure, putting this WORD Eurodrill setup to work in a tight, limited-access area where positioning is everything.

It’s a great example of how the right drilling setup can keep foundation work moving even when the jobsite leaves very little room to maneuver.

Great video of George putting the 560 top hammer to work on the first test hole in Brighton, Utah, making sure everything was functioning properly and giving the crew a first look at what the setup could do in some seriously tough ground.

Working to clear the site for four new homes, our amazing customer Form Focus faced some seriously steep mountainside and on-site boulders the size of cars. Although the terrain is bringing plenty of resistance, they are using their WORD drill to its full potential, drilling ahead of blasting and removal

For this application, the 560 top hammer is running a 1.5" bit on R32 rod, supported by a 185 CFM air compressor. Once water became available the following day, a mist pump was added for that finishing touch of dust suppression.

A quick test hole, a tough site, and a pretty good preview of the work ahead.
