Okay Green Bay won yesterday. Actually I believe we lost the game by missed opportunities. But the sun still rises!! Here was my view from Burbank this morning!!

And that view is worthy to awe and thanks. Rams go get some rest and play better in a couple weeks!

After this week of NFL, we have three undefeated teams for this season Vikings, Chiefs (both at 4-0), and Seahawks (who play tomorrow) is at 3-0. Any given Sunday, Thursday, and Monday you never really know what the outcome will be until the end of the game.

This weekend had some surprises for all of us. Remember it is a game. Win, Lose, or tie, it doesn’t determines your joy. Your success. Your happiness. Your productivity.

I love watching football because I did it with my dad and it is an escape from the daily routine. Congratulations winners. I hope everyone learned some good things today. Let’s go enjoy our lives by being present for ourselves and those around us.

I did a little more research. Out of the 60 KC-10s put into service for the Air Force there was one incident at Barksdale AFB

Incidents. On 17 September 1987, KC-10A serial number 82-0190 was undergoing maintenance on the ground at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana, and suffered an explosion and subsequent fire. The KC-10 was significantly damaged and written off. One member of the ground crew died in the fire. No air incidents!

For 43 years, this flying record tells me our maintenance teams’ attention to detail were second to none!! I take pride to be a member of the initial team at March AFB!!

The last KC-10 is retiring. What an amazing workhorse it has been! It carried US forces all around this world. Receiving gas and passing gas midair. Very talented!! 40+ years of service. A gas station in the skies.

Happy Birthday to my military service of choice: US Air Force. Air power goes back to 1912 (into the 1700s with balloons) however the US Air Force was established on this day in 1947.

Happy Birthday!! So many changes. So many developments. I had the opportunity to develop the aircraft maintenance training plans for this beautiful piece of equipment back in 1982. Thank you Air Force for an amazing opportunity and being a member of the team. Go Air Force! Up in the air…
