Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) to obtain assistance from the State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan Program

The City of Elwood will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2020. However, in compliance with the Governor’s Order 20-09, this hearing will be held both in person at the Elwood Municipal Building, which is located at 1505 South B Street, Elwood, Indiana, 46036, and via teleconference at the number posted below.

Elwood’s engineering consultant, Triad Associates, Inc., will present the recommended project, which is to extend sanitary sewers to West Elwood, an unincorporated area located west of the City. Wastewater will be transported to the City of Elwood for treatment. The scope of work is more fully described in the Preliminary Engineering Report (PER). The project will be funded through a Wastewater State Revolving Fund (WWSRF) loan program and an Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) Community Development Block Grant (GDBG) has been applied for.

A copy of the PER will be available for public viewing on the City’s website on April 17, 2020 and will remain posted through May 4, 2020. Written comments regarding the project will be accepted through May 4, 2020 and should be sent to [email protected]

There will be the opportunity for questions and comments from the public at the hearing. Your participation is welcomed and encouraged. Interested parties should participate by calling the number below prior to the start of the hearing.
