Most people think goose management means chasing birds away.
It doesn’t.
Real goose management is about changing behavior before a property becomes overwhelmed with contamination, damage, complaints, and unusable space.
WEEK 3 RECAP — THE SOLUTION MOST PEOPLE NEVER THINK ABOUT
Over the last week we shifted from the problem…
to the solution.
And the solution is not what most people expect.
Goose management is not about hurting wildlife.
It’s not about chemicals.
It’s not about gimmicks, noise makers, fake predators, or temporary scares.
It’s about behavior.
Canada geese stay where they feel safe.
If a property consistently feels safe, quiet, and comfortable…
they settle in.
If that feeling changes…
they move.
That’s where trained Border Collies come in.
Not as attack dogs.
Not to injure birds.
But to apply controlled, humane pressure that triggers a natural instinct inside the geese:
👉 “This is no longer a safe place to stay.”
That instinct is powerful.
And when pressure is applied correctly, consistently, and humanely, geese begin choosing different locations on their own.
That means:
• Cleaner sidewalks
• Cleaner common areas
• Less waste buildup
• Reduced maintenance frustration
• Better appearance
• Better usability of the property
Because once contamination and heavy buildup take hold, cleanup becomes much harder than prevention.
That’s why timing matters.
The earlier geese learn a property is uncomfortable, the less established they become.
And for HOAs, parks, churches, golf courses, medical facilities, businesses, and waterfront communities…
that matters.
Because at the end of the day, property managers and owners care about:
• Appearance
• Safety
• Liability
• Public perception
• Keeping spaces usable for people
Goose management affects every one of those.
Bottom line?
Geese are more than a nuisance.
They’re an environmental factor most people underestimate.
The good news?
They don’t have to stay.
