We are asking for some help and prayers for one of our own again. Zennith Wilber who has been a member of the Emerson volunteer Fire/Rescue department for well over 25 years has fractured her back in a few places. She is not able to do all the things she LOVES which includes serving our SW IA community. Zennith has also been a member of Malvern Rescue for roughly 25 years. Most of you know Zennith in some way. If you feel that you could possibly help her out in this time, I’m sure she would be over the moon with joy. Please help lift our Zennith up

DID YOU KNOW…that a single vehicle accident victim could require up to 100 units of blood?

IMAGINE THIS: You’re in a serious car accident. You need blood to survive… but there isn’t enough available.

We are facing a national blood shortage, and when an emergency happens, there is no guarantee that the blood someone needs will be there unless people in our community step up to donate.

You may remember when your school, hospital, or fire department hosted a blood drive. Maybe you thought, “I’ll donate next time,” or “I’m just too busy today.” But what if you were the person who needed that blood?

It takes a community. It takes YOU. Your family, your friends, your neighbors, and just a few minutes of your time, to help save multiple lives.
You never know when someone you love, or even you, may be the one who needs a blood transfusion.

🩸 Please consider donating. Your few minutes could give someone a lifetime. 🩸 🩸

Here is what we will be dealing with very soon

09/13/2026

🎬 Take 2! lol! New things take time. Tried and true, it does work! Brandon Darnold’s kids took #1, Lorelei Stephen’s took #2, and Ruthie Knight took 3rd! What a fun new thing to do! I know the fire dept and those watching/participating had a great time! Maybe next year we can double the ducks, maybe dump them from a big bucket, maybe raise money for the fire dept (this year was a trial), or??? Name your favorite suggestion and you might possibly get a free duck or 2! Make sure to keep them in a row though😉

Tomorrow morning, hope to see you there!
