Last night, Emmaus Fire and EMS hosted First Due Autism Training and their outstanding Autism Awareness program. Your Emmaus Professional Firefighters received training to better prepare us to respond to emergencies that involve people on the spectrum. The Borough of Emmaus Fire and EMS is hosting Instructor Zach Kirsch & his program "Autism Awareness for First Responders" at EFD's Central Station on 24MAR2026 1800-2000. This event is pending approval for 2 CEU's for those that attend. This unique training opportunity will help our members & Fire/EMS/Police/911 provide better service for emergencies with individuals with Autism! We hope to see you there!

Yesterday (04FEB2026), your Emmaus Professional Firefighters hosted 5 students (and their families) from Lincoln Elementary for a "Breakfast at the Firehouse" and a "Ride to School in a Fire Truck" event. The 5 lucky kiddos won this opportunity on Lincoln Elementary's Annual Bingo Night!

In Cooperation with Mrs. Scheirer, members cooked a Pancake Breakfast on the Bay Floor for the kiddos, then escorted them to start their school day in Ladder 7!

We had a blast making this happen & hope to make make it an annual event!

🔥Your Emmaus Professional Firefighters are currently operating at a 3rd Alarm Fire in the City of Allentown, assisting our brothers from Local 302 Allentown International Association of Firefighters.

🚨Seven members of L5004 remain on duty in the Emmaus Borough to cover our first due.

The Emmaus Professional Firefighters stand ready to respond to emergencies of all natures, both inside & out of Emmaus.

Since the beginning of Snow Operations (Saturday Evening), your Emmaus Professional Firefighters have responded to 16 emergencies. This includes responding with 3 members to Upper Macungie Township for the 2nd Alarm House Fire, a reported fire in Salisbury Township, and 10+ runs here in Emmaus. The firehouse maintained a level of 6 personnel staffing the Engine & Ladder company through the storm. Members worked hard to keep ramps & hydrants cleared, while handling emergencies throughout town.

The Emmaus Fire and EMS Department (staffed by your professional firefighters) stands prepared to handle all emergencies, regardless of weather & environmental conditions.

🚨First Due Structure Fire🚨

🚒Today at 1205 hrs, your Emmaus Professional Firefighters along with mutual aid companies (31, 28, 80 & 81) and Emmaus EMS were dispatched to the Emmaus Borough Public Works building for a reported Boiler Fire in the basement. Chief 7 & Engine Co. 7 arrived to find smoke showing from the Bilco Doors on Side Alpha. E7's members stretched a handline to the basement & confirmed a fire in the boiler with extension. Ladder 7 arrived as the first due truck & positioned on Side Alpha.

🔥This is the second Working Fire (or greater) that the Emmaus Professional Firefighters have responded to in the past 24 hours.

🚒Additional members responded & remained in the firehouse for the "backfill" assignment, allowing for additional emergencies that arise in the Borough of Emmaus to be handled without delay.

Your Emmaus Professional Firefighters are currently responding with 3 members on the 2nd Alarm that has been transmitted on Washington Street in the City of Allentown.

Meanwhile, multiple Local 302 Allentown International Association of Firefighters are operating at a seperate 3rd Alarm fire on the East Side.

Multiple members remain in the Borough of Emmaus on "backfill duty" to respond to emergencies in our first due.

The first annual Emmaus Professional Firefighters Training Day was a huge success! Here's a quick recap!

📚 RJ of Capitol Fire Training delivered a top shelf Forcible Entry Program!
🫕A lunch of Firehouse Chili, Spanish Rice & coleslaw was served by Gig Digger Events!
🚪 The Beat The Blue Door event in support of the The John Kalynych Foundation was a huge success, the 3 fastest times held by Brandon Wentz, Dylan Kalynych & Luke Kannan advanced to the championship round!
📚 Jason Rivera of Tactical Resource Fire Training delivered a fantastic firemanship program!
🚪Dylan Kalynych held on to win the Beat The Blue Door Contest & donated his winnings back to the JKF!
🍻The social event held at Yergey Brewing was a great way to enjoy time together after a long day of training!

🚒All the while, your Emmaus Professional Firefighters responded to 2 reported structures fires & operated at a Motor Vehicle Collision with Entrapment!
