Another Informational post: AWS (Amazon Webservices) is working through an issue of some sort with their database software. Started very early this morning. It appears to mainly affect their data centers back east, we're seeing connectivity issues on some sites here as well. Check https://downdetector.com/ for the latest updates 🙂

Just as general information, according to downdetector.com and my own testing; YouTube is having a significant outage right now. I'm sure they'll get it fixed quickly, but in case you're trying to use YouTube and it's not working, this is probably why.

EDIT 12:12pm fingers crossed, we were able to work around the fiber cut. We believe we have all services restored.

EDIT 9/29/25 @ 11:16 AM: there is another issue we are working to find. Since the fiber incident this morning, some customers may be online, some may not while we work to find and solve the issue.

We are experiencing some sort of outage. Heading back to the office to figure it out right now.

There was a fiber cut above us. We're working on a solution to route around it. Hoping to get back online soon.

Maintenance Notice. Tonight at midnight we'll be migrating the core functionality of our network out of the Vickery Internet office and into a data center in the greater Treasure Valley. Tonight some customers may see intermittent loss of internet access. The plan is to have everything running smoothly long before you wake up Monday morning. Sorry for any inconvenience.

This last Saturday, we upgraded our battery backup at one of our eastern tower sites. When we go to do any additional work on that site, we'll now have a nice clean and organized area. Corbin went ham on the labels!

We're seeing some sort of and outage on our end. Looking into it now. Not all customers affected, but many are.

EDIT: It doesn't look like the outage is on our end. Many major Internet players are reporting issues. AWS, CloudFlare, and Microsoft teams. It appears this issue is above us.
