I have been receiving calls from people about their cars not starting do to sitting around for the last few weeks. This is understandable and if you are going out and starting your car and letting it run for a minute or two unfortunately you have may not have helped the situation. Average 6 cyl car will use around 200 amps just to start your car in a 30 second scenario. And with all the components on the newer cars that couple of minutes you ran your car did nothing to replenish the battery. Solution is either a long drive or a pulse charger or maintainer. People with RV's and classic cars understand the use of this technology. Basically unlike a battery charger a maintainer sends a pulse through the cells keeping the battery at its present charge state. Maintainers run an average of $25 to $35 dollars Amazon sells them, parts stores or you can contact me for one also. If you car is siting and most of ours are this may be the way to go instead of having to buy a new battery when all this is over. These work on cars with newer batteries if your battery has a few years on it, a charger or replacement may be the way to go. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

So many people buy batteries based on price. If you buy a battery based on that, you will only cause yourself problems on the day you need that battery to preform. You get what you pay for. Cars today require batteries with higher CCA ratings and RC ratings. Please watch this video it will help you make the right decision when it comes to your battery purchase.
