TIME TO BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF. Picture yourself in your bedroom, kitchen, garage, and yes, even your bathroom. Could be at night or in the middle of the day and even the weekend. Suddenly this happens (see pic), and 4 grown men come in with weapons. What do you do? What can you do? Do you have a weapon in those rooms? Do you have a way to signal help? Is your phone on you? Where are your children? This does happen and can happen. Run this scenario through your mind and find your weak points and then FIX IT.

Most brands of Hotel safes have a Master User mode and default password (usually 9999 or similar) that the hotel should reset. Often times, this is overlooked and exposes guests and their valuables. Test by hitting “Lock” + “Lock” + 9999 and see if the safe opens.
