Summary/Objective
A Welder operates appropriate equipment to fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms using knowledge of weld techniques.
Essential Functions

1. Set machine to Company weld procedures.
2. Perform and pass a 2G groove weld with MIG gun, GMAW per D1.1.
3. Perform welds in accordance with basic weld procedures.
4. Use of weld symbols.
5. Use safety standards and personal protective clothing.
6. Use technology to log work hours and job costing.
7. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions.

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. This job is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. This role routinely uses a tablet to track time and labor.
Physical Demands
The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance; push or pull; bend; grasp and manipulate objects; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to wear all personal protective equipment.
A pre-employment physical and drug screen are required prior to commencement of employment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with frequent overtime as needed, including weekends. Night shift schedule is 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. with frequent overtime. Schedules change with workload.
Required Education and Experience
1. Proven experience as a welder.
2. Knowledge of D1.1 AWS Structural Code preferred.
