We've seen reports on the net that specifically LG TVs are experiencing buffering, which LG has fixed with the latest software update.

If you have an LG and are seeing hiccups, go to your device settings and download/install any updates to smooth things out.

Always good to keep up to date!

UPDATE: Power was restored at noon, and users should all be back online.

Today, Pacific Power took out power to our main server room while working nearby.

We have backup power on most systems, but the power hit caused us partial internet service outage. We are working to fully restore service, but there may be a short general service outage while we get things sorted out.

We apologize for the disruption.

UPDATE: Repair is complete. Internet service has been restored.

There is currently a complete outage for multiple providers in Wallowa County due to a pole down in Elgin.

There is emergency fiber maintenance planned during the window of 12AM-6AM tonight (Friday early morning). This is expected to cause an outage of up to 60 minutes during that window.

We believe this will also affect the Healthcare District and the Education Services District.

Here's hoping that this maintenance will go more smoothly than the last time that the middle-mile provider in question did maintenance.

UPDATE: Connection has been reestablished as of about 10AM.

There is currently an outage due to a provider upstream from us (Ziply) having an overrun on a scheduled fiber maintenance job in Elgin. They disconnected some fibers and did not get all of them reconnected properly, or check before leaving. They're sending a crew back there to fix it.

Wallowa County Health Care District and the Education Service District were reportedly also affected.

FINAL UPDATE: It's fixed.

UPDATE 11-09 17:15: We've been given a conservative ETR of 18:30, though they're hoping to fix it sooner.

UPDATE 11-09 15:45: They still haven't given an estimated time of repair, though they are working on it at the highest priority. We have to assume at this point that it won't be fixed until tomorrow. So we're still on the congested alternate path as we head into peak-usage time this evening.

Due to a fiber span down between La Grande and Pendleton, our internet traffic is being rerouted on a less-direct path. Currently, this is resulting in lower speeds and higher latency.

Oregon State Police has not actually found the location of the damage yet, so it probably won't be repaired tonight.

Most internet applications should still be able to function, albeit at reduced performance.

This is the cause of our current outage here in Wallowa County.

This is the cause of our current outage here in Wallowa County.

LSN FIBER BUNDLE DESTROYED NEAR LA GRANDE. 800+ MEMBERS IMPACTED.

LA GRANDE -- Technicians are reporting that the LSNetwork fiber bundle along Hwy 82, roughly 5 miles north of La Grande, has been destroyed. The damage was reportedly caused by the bundle being pulled off the poles by a passing train at 10:15 PDT. Homes, business, and even school districts in Imbler and Elgin are being impacted. In total, around 800 members are currently offline. An estimated time for restoration was not provided by Oregon Wireless.

FINAL UPDATE: LSN has completed repair of the fiber bundle and the outage is resolved.

UPDATE 13:15: A train hit a fiber bundle north of La Grande. LS Networks is working with the authorities to gain access to their facilities, then they will begin repair. They haven't given an ETA yet, but we've heard it could be after midnight.

We are currently experiencing an outage because the connection out of the county to the wider internet is down.

We are contacting the middle-mile provider upstream from us to investigate. We appreciate your patience while we determine where outside the county the issue is and the ETA for a fix.
