If you see WabiSabi please notify WAG - Wiregrass Animal Group

SHE IS FOUND AND HOME SAFE!

LOST - DO NOT CHASE

WabiSabi got spooked and ran for the hills at the dog park parking lot at Johnny Henderson Park in Enterprise, AL

She is a spayed female hound, blue merle with tan markings. Wearing a PINK martingale collar.

She is extremely fearful of loud noises; is food motivated and loves other dogs.

Please if you see her in or around the area send us a message. If you have the opportunity to lock her in a fenced area we will come and get her from you.

We contacted all agencies. We are looking for a drone operator willing to fly over to see where she is!

Help us bring Wabi home!

Sweet Cherry Needs a Home! 🍒🏡

Cherry has been with us for quite a while, and we can’t figure out why—she's truly a gem. 💎 This well-mannered girl is potty trained, knows how to use a dog door, and has a calm, easygoing personality that makes her a joy to be around.

She enjoys the company of other dogs and will happily join in on a little playtime, but she's also perfectly content just hanging out and being your chill companion. 🐶💕

Thanks to a generous sponsor, Cherry's adoption fee has been completely covered, so she can go home FREE to an approved adopter!

If you've been looking for a sweet, low-maintenance best friend, Cherry might be the one. Learn more about her in our album “Available for Adoption” or visit our website: wiregrassanimalgroup com

Cockroach milk is a protein rich, crystallized substance produced by a specific type of cockroach called Diploptera punctata!
This species is unique because it gives birth to live offspring. Members make "milk" in the form of protein crystals to serve as food for their developing young.

In recent years, scientists have discovered that this milk-like crystalline substance is nutritious and considered a complete food, as it's a good source of protein, carbs, and fats, and over 3 times more nutritious than cow's milk!

However, harvesting this milk-like substance is currently a labor-intensive process. It involves killing a female cockroach and her embryos once it begins to lactate and then harvesting the crystals from its midgut.

According to one of the co-authors of a popular study on cockroach milk, it's currently infeasible to mass-produce cockroach milk. The co-author estimates that it would take killing more than 1,000 cockroaches to make just 3.5 ounces (100 grams) of the milk.
