✨ 10 Month Sleep Schedule ✨

This is an average day at 10 months: 2 naps, wake windows around 3/3.5/3.75, and about 2.5 hours of daytime sleep total.

But average doesn’t mean right for your baby. Some 10 month olds need a little more, some a little less. Use this as a starting point, not a rule.

If naps or bedtime feel like a battle and you’re responding consistently in a manner that’s not reinforcing the wakes, it’s usually just a small schedule tweak to get back on track 🤍

Save this for nap time and share with a tired mama.

“They must be teething.”

Nearly every tired parent says it. It’s one of the most reached for explanations in the baby sleep world, and most of the time it’s wrong.

Not because teething isn’t real. Because your baby is teething nearly all the time, and you’re only blaming it on the nights sleep falls apart.

And I know that’s not what you want to hear at 3am when you’re convinced those molars are the reason you’re up again, but blaming it on teeth doesn’t fix the root issue.

Swipe through for what’s actually keeping you up at night. It’s not the teeth.

You can follow every sleep tip on the internet and still have rough nights. And it’s not because you’re doing it wrong.

It’s because your baby isn’t the average baby.

Wake windows matter — a lot. But the wake windows you find on Google? Averages. The total daytime sleep your baby “should” be getting? Also averages. And here’s what most people don’t realize: the more common problem isn’t an overtired baby. It’s an undertired one.

When sleep isn’t fully smoothed out and I know parents are being so consistent with their sleep training method and their baby CAN confidently put themselves to sleep and back to sleep, the first thing I look at is whether the wake window is long enough AND whether they’re getting too much daytime sleep. Both can tank your nights.

So no, don’t just “follow your baby’s cues” and call it a day. Use the charts as a starting point — then adjust. Most of the time that means pushing wake windows a little longer and scaling back day sleep before you do anything else.

That’s how you find the sweet spot that actually works for YOUR baby. Book a free call if you want to chat about how we can get your little one there! 💗

Sleep regressions are one of the most common things I hear from exhausted parents, and I get it, the term is everywhere. But here’s the truth: they aren’t real. Nothing magically breaks your baby’s sleep overnight. When sleep falls apart, it almost always comes back to the schedule and how your baby is falling asleep. Swipe through to understand what’s actually going on and what to do about it.

Save this for the next time someone tells you your baby is in a regression and drop a question in the comments if this sounds like your baby!🌙

Oh my gosh, this is why I do what I do. 🥹

Every family starts out tired, second-guessing, and just hoping something will finally work. Two weeks later, they’re laying their baby down, walking out, and able to go to sleep confidently knowing their baby is also confidently going to sleep all night💗💗💗

Have you ever heard the term “Active Sleep”? 👀

This is what it looks like! Babies are actually born with only two stages of sleep—active sleep and quiet sleep.

So often, parents think their baby is waking up when they’re actually just in active sleep. You’ll see their eyes flutter, they might grunt, cry out, or squirm a little… and we rush in thinking they’re awake. But in reality, they’re still asleep!

Around 3–5 months, when people talk about the “four-month regression,” what’s really happening is that your baby’s sleep cycles are maturing. They start cycling through all the stages of sleep like adults do and active sleep fades away.

If your baby makes little noises, moves around, or opens their eyes briefly, try giving it a second before picking them up. Many times, we accidentally wake them out of active sleep thinking they need us when they were still snoozing peacefully. 😴💗
