This past Saturday, the SCOPOS team had a fun time volunteering at Berks for their annual Easter Egg Hunt.

We spent the morning scattering eggs, helping transport residents to the festivities, and guiding the kids through the hunt. One of the best parts of the day was interacting with the residents. Having the chance to talk with them and see their faces light up as the children hunted for eggs was a beautiful reminder of why community matters so much to us.

SCOPOS previously provided the food service design for Phoebe Berks' coffee shop, pub, and bistro. It was rewarding to walk through the community, see how well those venues have held up over time, and watch them still being actively enjoyed by residents and staff!

At SCOPOS, we know that bringing a foodservice vision to life takes more than good design, it takes alignment from concept through installation.

Our team recently spent two days at the Middleby Corporation Brands Innovation Kitchens with Boelter, getting hands-on with the latest equipment and technology. One thing was clear: a strong Kitchen Equipment Contractor partnership is critical to successfully translating design intent into the built environment.

Working closely with the Boelter Consultant Services team helps us bridge that gap, ensuring that what’s designed on paper is executed with precision in the field. It’s how innovations from manufacturers like Lynx, Jade-Beech, and EVO actually perform the way they’re intended to.

Thank you to the Boelter and Middleby Corporation Brands teams for creating a space where design, equipment, and ex*****on come together. This kind of collaboration is what moves projects forward and raises the standard for what a successful install should look like.

Coming up! The Environments for Aging Phoenix 2026 Conference & Expo is officially underway, and our team is on-site exploring sessions, engaging with the conference community, and connecting with industry leaders.

This year, we’ are joining with The Hollyday Group and Erdman to present a session on The Comforts of Cooking, a concept focused on designing kitchens that feel like home. The session explores a shift away from traditional institutional senior living kitchens toward environments that foster familiarity, comfort, and nostalgia through the dining experience.

Join us on Wednesday, March 18 at 9:45 AM to hear insights from Andrey Teleguz, Shawn Kaley, Isaac Wallace, and Melissa Laatsch. We hope to see you there!

We’re proud to share that three of the senior living environments we’ve had the privilege to support are highlighted in the Spring issue of Environments for Aging

Vicars Landing at Oak Bridge received an Honorable Mention for its thoughtful transformation that enhances wellness, connection, and everyday hospitality within the community.

Medford Leas was named a Finalist, recognized for renovations and additions that strengthen engagement, dining, and lifestyle amenities for residents.

We’re also excited to see Broadview Senior Living at Purchase featured again from last year’s edition. The project truly stands out for its unique approach and forward-thinking design, and it’s great to see that level of innovation and impact continuing to be recognized into the new year.

Today’s Lunch & Learn recap!

Today, Todd Griffith (Food Service Solutions USA Inc.) joined us for a product showcase featuring standout European equipment lines, from Brunner-Anliker food processors and Cuppone pizza systems to Lainox combi ovens/chillers, Orved vacuum sealing, and Rheninghaus slicers. We wrapped up the learning experience with a Brunner-Anliker food processer demo, getting to see the efficiency in action and how many hours it can save chefs by turning what would normally take time-consuming prep into seconds. Huge thank you to Todd Griffith for the demos, and to Jim Wheeler from the Platinum Marketing Company Platinum Marketing Company team for visiting our office and coordinating this educational session for our team.

We’re so grateful for our partners at Schmid Dewland for hosting an appreciation lunch for our team. A big thank you to Chefs Mike, with Schmid Dewland , and Michael, with RATIONAL AG for preparing an incredible meal and taking the time to cook for us right here in our culinary center. We’re thankful for the entire team who joined us today and for all of our reps who continue to collaborate with us. Looking forward to continuing these partnerships in the new year!

This season, we’re inviting our community to help us bring Christmas joy to children in Kenya through our partnership with Миссия "Содействие" Afriсa Assistanсe. They are an organization dedicated to serving children in need, supporting them through education, food, and family placement. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with them to make this year’s Holiday Season a little more special.

Our goal is to raise $6,000 to provide 3,000 gifts and fund a Christmas celebration for 3,000 children. That means you can support one child with just $2.

Our team Thanksgiving potluck was one for the books!

Today we gathered in our Culinary Center to celebrate our annual potluck and it felt extra special. Our team grows a little bigger every year and so there is no better way than to build our relationships than during celebrations like this.

A big shout out to Matt Schuler for preparing the turkey and stuffing using the Rational Combi oven that kept everything juicy and delicious. And we also held our annual Bake-Off Competition that featured an incredible variety of baked goods. Congratulations to the winner Anastasia Papov for her Napoleon Cake that took home the win!

This was truly such a wonderful year celebrating the time of thanks. We’re so grateful for this team and the community we are all continuing to build together. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
