Specializing in the promotion, marketing and sale of fine antiques and estate material at public auction, we assist individuals, corporations, attorneys, executors and trusts in the evaluation and sale of personal property. Our 15,000 square foot gallery and warehouse is located on the seacoast of New Hampshire in Dover, we are 1 hour north of Boston, Massachusetts and just 15 minutes from the historic city of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. conducts on average 10-15 auctions annually in the greater Portsmouth area, including Americana, fine art, specialty, estate and benefit auctions. is also a member of The Better Business Bureau of New Hampshire Inc. in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire Whittemore School of Business and Economics. Devin Moisan has been conducting antiques auctions in the state of New Hampshire since 1996, is a member of both the National Auctioneers Association and the New Hampshire Auctioneers Association. In 2001, he was appointed by the Governor to The State of New Hampshire Board of Auctioneers, where he served in various capacities including chairman until 2011.

Carved Walnut Busk, attributed to Major John Dunlap (1746-1792). Illustrated in The Currier Gallery of Art, “The Dunlaps & Their Furniture,” Manchester, New Hampshire: Lee Cummings, Inc., 1970, fig. 105. Coming this fall, as part of the Collection of Bud & Ruth Meader.

Although often ornamented, busks served a functional purpose. They were inserted into the front of a corset or bodice and served to keep the front of the garment completely flat and rigid, flattening the stomach and forcing the wearer to maintain proper upright posture.
