nue at Presque Isle State Park is scenic, the Barber Beast is definitely no walk in the park. You will take on 10 miles of sand, water, and swamp – it’s the nature of the Beast! Join the 1200+ participants crazy enough to run, jump, climb and crawl across more than 30 obstacles on Saturday, September 9, 2023. All proceeds from this event benefit the Barber National Institute, an organization committed to "making dreams come true" for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Free or reduced price registration for those who want to help raise funds for this worthy cause. Barber Beast on the Bay also offers an Adapted Course for adults with disabilities on September 9, 2023. The one-mile course held at Waldameer Park is primarily on paved road and features fourteen obstacles that involve pulling, pushing, carrying and navigating ramps. The fully accessible adapted obstacle course coincides with the 10-Mile Course, as the two courses meet up so participants can cross the finish line together!
