The Vineyard established in June 2008 planted with 2400 Brunello (Sangiovese Grosso), 1100 Barbera, 240 each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Syrah Grapes. The 2013 Estate Sangiovese Reserve triple gold medal 91 points at 2016 SF International, 2016 Monterey International and Finger Lakes International. Recently awarded two Silver Medals at the 2016 Women's International Wine Competition for 2014 Estate Sangiovese and 2014 Petite Sirah. Spring/Summer hours Noon to 6pm.

From our home to yours, Peter and I want to wish everyone a Happy Easter. Altipiano Vineyard and Winery will be closed Easter Sunday, April 20th. We are open Saturday, April 19th from Noon to 6pm. Have a wonderful weekend and raise a glass to the one you love!

I am at the amazing Altipiano Winery 🍷 on Highland Valley Road in Escondido.
Winemaker and Owner Denise Clarke is (I believe!) the best winemaker in San Diego County. Wow!
