Are you STILL waiting for your child's IEP meeting to get scheduled?

There ae so many variables as to why a school may not have scheduled your child's IEP - from incomplete assessments, being understaffed or scheduling conflicts - but 30 days from IEP eligibility determination is the law.

If you're still waiting and feeling unsure how to navigate this situation start by informing school admin (by email or letter) that 30 days has passed since your child was deemed eligible for an IEP meeting and that you would like the determination letter in writing + that you want the meeting to be scheduled.

Schools are fully aware that your child's IEP is a legal document but parents are often unaware of this, and just how much power that holds.
