Station 28 fire police were dispatched in the borough on East Broadway at the railroad crossing for a disabled Norfolk Southern train blocking the crossing. Norfolk Southern reported a 3-4hr window for removal.

Station 28 was dispatched for a woods fire in the 68-02 box. Tanker and brush responded and assisted with water supply and manpower. Both were placed available by command 68 after about 2hrs.

Station 28 members had a busy Memorial day weekend. The station took in several calls to include a structure fire in the 68-02 box, a MVA w/inj in the 31-06 box, wires down in the 28-02, and a MVA w/entrapment in the 31-01 box. Station 28 members also participated in the VFW Memorial day parade, while the fire police conducted a road closure on Stillhouse Rd supporting Norfolk police with traffic control for the HIA Dot air show.

On May 23rd to May 25th Stillhouse Rd will be closed to all traffic but local traffic. This is in support of the air show at HIA. No vehicle traffic is permitted down along the Norfolk Southern rail line. Please avoid this area.
