This page has been a bit in flux over the past several years as my business ventures have morphed.

I have transitioned from entrepreneur / business consultant and Director of Operations for several online businesses to CEO of an online business that I purchased in 2021. That transition has been a big shift and always presents new challenges and rewards!

I've been passionate for supporting businesses since 2010 and although I don't have time to offer my business consulting services at this time, this page will be a place I can share and connect with fellow business owners.

Such a good reminder!

Did you know an employees’ onboarding experiences are a reliable indicator of their long-term relationship with a company? Unfortunately, a recent Gallup study found that only 12% of employees strongly agreed that their organization did a great job of onboarding new hires.

So how can we do Onboarding better? When we think about introducing a new employee, we often think about new employee orientation, which IS a critical part to welcoming a new employee but is only one part of the process. There are 3 parts or phases to creating a great onboarding experience: Positioning, Orientation and On-going Development.

NEW YORK (AP) — Small businesses face a mix of old and new challenges as 2023 begins. A looming recession, still high (although easing) inflation and labor woes are some of issues carrying over from 2022 that small businesses will have to tackle.

What is your positive intention?

I grew up in a family that knew about the power of leading with your positive intention. How it creates connection and a bridge between differences (both the real ones and the perceived ones). Of course, we didn’t talk about it that way! Yet it was modeled all around me.

Last week I got to meet Dave Isay who looks at life through the lens of connection (vs the lens of our differences). It renewed my awareness of just how powerful a positive intention is, especially when navigating the “hard stuff”.

Why did I change the name of this FB page you ask? 😀

This idea has been brewing for awhile and I decided to front burner it and to use this existing page and change the name.

As most of you know, I worked as a COO or in the right-hand person role for the last decade or so. Then a couple years ago I stepped into 'business owner' role when I purchased Grow Your Own Vegetables.

It brings me joy to partner with the amazing people I know and am inspired by. I'm all about collaboration and am teaming up with great people so ...

I’m kicking off the year, with co-facilitating the COO in Your Pocket Annual Business Planning workshop with Andrea Infelt. She’s the owner of Positive Shift Partners.
