When creating this company, there were a few simple goals: Provide a quality product, offer it at a fair price, and treat our employees with respect. With time, 'treating our employees with

respect' has become our full-time priority. Not only does it feel good to treat people the way that we want to be treated, but doing so has had a direct impact on the quality of our services. Our employees are reliable, easy to get along with, and they take their jobs seriously ... all as a direct reflection of how they are treated. Security as an industry does not always receive its due respect, both from the public and from the very security companies themselves. Combine that with the typically low wages of the industry and it's no wonder that employee turnover is usually around 50-60% per year. First, we seek out applicants who are friendly and approachable. Once hired, officers are taught that their opinion matters and that the company realizes that they have lives outside of work. Supervisors are trained to listen to their officers, find what makes them happy, and to avoid jumping to conclusions when things go wrong. The end results are undeniable: Turnover among full time employees is around 7-10% annually… dramatically lower than the industry average. If anyone knows of someone looking for a part-time job in the Portland area, we have an immediate opening for a 2-night per week unarmed Security Officer position at a hotel in the Pearl District (10pm-6am). Great location and lovely staff! The position starts at $17.00 per hour but will be up to $18.50 per hour by the one year mark.
