Sometimes something seemingly insignificant can mean a great deal for your health.
A walk outside.
Sunlight on your face.
Following a path you haven't taken before.
Feeling curious. Moving your body. Connecting with another person.
It may look like just a little adventure.
But your brain and body may experience much more.
☀️ Daylight helps regulate your circadian rhythm — important for sleep, energy and mood.
🚶 Movement supports brain health and influences systems involving endorphins, dopamine, serotonin and BDNF — important for neuroplasticity and our ability to change.
🌿 Nature can reduce stress and mental rumination.
💛 Connection activates our social safety and reward systems and is an important protective factor for mental and physical health.
🔎 Curiosity and novelty wake up the brain's attention and reward systems. Something new tells the brain: Look. Explore. There is more here.
✨ Adventure and play interrupt our habitual patterns and bring back possibility, confidence and aliveness.
And perhaps most importantly: you are participating in life rather than withdrawing from it.
This is part of what we will explore and EXPERIENCE together in OUT OF THE BLUE — Journey Based, an in-person workshop in Seattle.
Not just talking about change.
We will use movement, curiosity, connection, challenge, awareness and new experiences to help you step outside familiar patterns and discover what else is possible.
September 18 & 19 — Seattle
Come learn about your brain, your patterns, your resilience — and so much more.
Sometimes getting OUT of the Blue begins with one seemingly insignificant step.
