The Greater Northeast Multiethnic Chamber of Commerce proudly supports both the business community in Tarrant County District 5 and our affiliates at Friends of Mosier Valley.

Formally recognized: May 28, 2025

GNMCC celebrates the new leadership in Tarrant County District 5, Texas, and warmly congratulates Deborah Peoples. We anticipate her future achievements with enthusiasm, we’re excited to see all the great things she'll do. We look forward to her success!

Recognizing that growth necessitates change, our organization, established in 2022, is committed to fostering a supportive environment. As a "new kid" on the block we're building a foundation rooted in good ground, where diverse interests and values feel welcome.

Dedicated to our mission, we have remained committed to providing the community free access to business information and developmental services.

Currently, we're focused on mentoring the next generation of business leaders, partnering with our local schools to help graduating students gain entrepreneurship skills and find volunteer opportunities.

The word got out in the Tongan community that Trinity High School was a place where Tongans could be themselves.🌻

Community Bonds are great in the City of Euless.

May is Asian American, Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month‼️💞

“The police here can pick up a kid, and run him over to the house, say Mom,dad we caught him mouthing off’ or stealing, or whatever, Faiva-Selle says”
“It is normal in our culture you get a butt-whipping”
Over the decades, groups have formed to help support families arriving from Tonga or working to stay connected to their culture, including the Euless Tongan Community Committee and the Tongan Youth Association of Texas.

Through these groups, community leaders have helped families experiencing cultural and language barriers, provided scholarships for youth, and hosted cultural and educational events to help children understand the origins of their history.

We are very proud to join the Celebration of AAPI Heritage Month💞🌻

CELEBRATING WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH‼️
"I am deeply honored to uphold the legacy and values instilled in me by the remarkable women of Mosier Valley, Texas. It is my firm belief that true greatness lies in the continuity of excellence in the smallest forms. Mosier Valley, a town in Tarrant County with a rich and often overlooked history, holds a significant place in Texas's narrative. Mosier Valley was the first black community in the State of Texas, founded by Robert and Dilsie Johnson and 10 emancipated slave families including Beatrice Parker-Green a philanthropist and descendant of The Parker Family. The community was deeply influenced by the pioneering spirit of its first Black female teacher, Miss Vada Johnson who taught in the H-E-B School District, which has inspired and shaped many generations. Notably, my aunt, Miss Shirley Wynn was among the first Black students to graduate from L.D. Bell High School in 1966, a testament to the resilience and progress achieved in the wake of the Civil Rights Act of 1965 and the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision.”
