MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

The Humboldt County Farm Bureau is the oldest Farm Bureau in the State of California. In 1913, our local farmers saw the need to organize and to work on issues which affected all producers. Since 1913 many things have changed—but one thing remains the same, the need to come together to provide an important voice for the Humboldt County Agricultural community. We need to spread the word and encourage our neighbors to join Farm Bureau which helps insure that the agriculture industry here remains viable, and continues to generate financial security for the entire community. TELL A FRIEND about Farm Bureau. If you know a potential new member—please call the office at 443-4844 and we will contact them. ENGAGEMENT POLICY

We all know that regulatory costs in CA are out of control, but to see the numbers is still terrifying.

“The numbers are now on paper. The true test is whether policymakers have the courage to act on them.”🍇

California Farm Bureau Board Member and Napa County winegrape grower Johnnie White recently authored an op-ed in the Press Democrat discussing the growing burden of regulatory compliance costs on California agriculture and the challenges facing family farms.

The lupine have arrived just in time for summer! These pollinator pals are wonderful for our bee, butterfly and hummer populations! They come in many colors, grow 18-24” tall and wide, and prefer full sun to part shade. Even better is that they are deer resistant! (But remember deer will try anything at least once)
