Testing day!! We are excited for our students that are doing the practical portion of their Pro Board testing for Ropes. Several years ago, we partnered with the ACFA to offer the rope rescue classes. After a ton of red tape, this is the first year that we are able to offer them the professional qualification testing. Good luck to them and we have great confidence that they will do great!

21 student spent their weekend completing the training for Rope Rescue Technician. Up next for them is Pro-Board testing to prove their competence. Thanks For Training!!

CMC is issuing a Product Safety & Inspection Notice for the CSR2 Pulleys.

CMC has become aware of CSR2 Double Pulley (Part # 300342) manufactured in October 2022 that was missing the retaining pin that secures the swivel bolt. Upon further investigation, an additional failure was found on a unit manufactured in July 2021. These failures are expected to be isolated incidents.

Out of an abundance of caution, CMC advises that all users inspect their units, both Double Pulley (Part #: 300342), Single Pulley (Part # 300343), and overall CSR2 Systems (Part # 500102 and Part # 500103), especially those units built in 2023 and earlier.

If you have any CSR2 pulleys or a complete CSR2system, please immediately inspect your devices using the inspection steps included in the Safety & Inspection Notice. To view the notice see link in Bio.

CMC is issuing a Product Safety & Inspection for the CAPTO™.

Through our internal inspection processes, CMC has found certain instances where the thread locker that secures the CAPTO cam set screw may not have fully cured. This potentially affects CAPTO 11 MM Gray (Part # 336011) and CAPTO 13 MM Red (Part # 336013) models from serial number 23191-001 through 26085-034. If the set screw becomes fully unthreaded, the cam spring may fall out, causing the cam to not function as intended. There have been no reports of any set screws coming loose in the field, but out of an abundance of caution we request that customers inspect for the presence and position of the set screw to ensure that it is installed properly. We have corrected this issue for current and future CAPTO production.

The same thread locker is also used as a secondary method to secure the pulley fl**ge. While we do not expect any issues, CMC still advises that customers also inspect the pulley fl**ge while inspecting the set screw position.

If you have a CAPTO, please immediately inspect your device using the inspection steps included in the Inspection & Safety Notice.
